Another week has gone by already. I now have one month left here in Mexico. This past week we have been working on the first burger trailer that James made about 2 years ago. We redid the the sides, inside and out and put in a new floor and painted it all. We had hoped that it would not take a whole week, but it is ok it is pretty well done and it should be ready for use Monday evening. Sorry I don't have any pictures of it but I will get some. I guess we were to busy work that we forgot to take pictures as we went.

I guess you have noticed that I am getting in the Christmas mood with the new music I have put on here. (If you get a a chance listen to the song "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.") It seems a little harder to get into the spirit in a warm country, but I am getting us to being able to swing in a hammock outside and be able to listen Christmas music. Nelly has been decking the place out with festive decorations.

Nelly has never had a Christmas tree and this year James decide he would buy one for her. This is the most perfect real Christmas tree I have seen. It came all the way from Canada as well and it still looks great and it smells good too.

When we were in Guadalajara we bought a couple hammocks. These hammocks are made in the Yucatan Peninsula. The first time I came to Mexico about 3 or 4 years ago I was in the Yucatan and slept in hammocks there and ever since I have not been able to find hammocks as comfortable as ones made there. I have been looking so when I found one I wanted to make sure I bought one and James bought one as well. James and Nelly think they are very comfortable as well. They are big enough for two adults to lay in them at once. We find it hard to get up out of the hammocks and go back to work and find ourselves in them late into the evening or morning sometimes.

All of the boys just chilling.

I was chatting with someone this week about a difficult situation they were going through. They seemed a little discouraged. I was just encouraging them to remember that God was totally in control of the situation and not only in control but He had made it. I think this is one of Satan's best means of keeping us as Christian ineffective for Christ. I just ready some verses in 2Peter 1:5-8 that counter acts this. "For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." ESV

Hi Andrew!
Thanks for your note on the blog . . . better still is that I can now follow you in your travels! (I didn't have this blog address before then). It's great to be able to hear about what the Lord is doing with, in and through you from afar. Have a wonderful last month in Mexico.
