Feeling Well & Ready to Travel

I had a hard time sleeping through the night because I slept so much yesterday. When I got up this morning I felt like I was back to my normal self again. Joia and I have been packing today and getting ready to fly early tomorrow morning. We have to be at the airport by 5am or before. I fly Delta and she and Keenan fly Northwest. We are going to see if one of us can switch and fly with the other. Once we arrive in Detroit we have a 7 hour drive up to the cottage in Minden Ontario. Hope all goes well with our travels.

This might be my last post until August 1.

Rather Hot in Florida in More Then One Way.

Yesterday morning at about 2:45 I woke up shivering like crazy until about 5. I had a fever of 101.7 and well I was going to say I didn't feel all that hot but I actually did feel quite hot, I just didn't feel well. I spent a good part of the day in bed. I was able to help Joia make some cinnamon rolls for the brunch she was having here with a few of her friends. After they left I went back to bed for a while. I did go out and do a few things with Joia yesterday afternoon before we picked Philip up from work. When we got back to the house I had the chills and I put on some pants (I was wearing shorts prior to this just so you know) and borrowed one of Philips sweat shirts. We watched a movie last night called Heaven Falls. While we watched the movie I was all bundled up under a blanket trying to stay warm.

This morning the fever was pretty much gone, but I stayed in bed again for a good portion of the day because I just didn't have much energy. I got up to eat a little now and then or Keenan would bring me some food. I think it was supposed to be for me but he hated the thought of me having to eat it all by myself so he would stay and help to eat it with me. What a thoughtful little guy. I picked Philip up from work this evening because Joia was getting ready for their company that was coming over for supper. She made some excellent lasagna and some good chocolate, peanut butter cheese cake stuff. I am not sure what it's actually name was, but you get the idea.

I only have one day left here in the Sunshine State before Joia, Keenan and I fly up to Detroit Saturday morning.

Beach Day/ Self Portraits

Yesterday Joia Keenan and I took a trip to the beach and had a grand old.

Here we are having lunch before we hit the water.

The three of us just chilling.

Keenan and I were having sand fights.

Last night Keenan wanted to sit up on my bed and help me on my computer. He was my friend until all the honey roasted peanuts were gone then he was out of there.

This evening Joia felt that I needed to take some self portraits on there computer. It has this camera that just seems to bring the best out in anyone that sits in front of it.

I am going to look into getting glasses like these.

Those were some good steroids.

I hope they don't both have dirty diapers at the same time or I will lose my head.

Oh nnnoooooooooooooooo.

I gave my most bestest smile ever, how did I do?

A First

Well it seems like Joia is reporting on our days on her blog so I might as well just tell you to go down and click on here blog in the right hand side bar. I think there are maybe a few things for me to say.

I had a first this morning I think. Joia had a doctors appointment this morning so I watched Keenan while she went. Of course just after she left Keenan did a little something something in his you know what. I had to be a good uncle and change that you know what, but I had never changed one of those before. Up on that nice little table he went and we undid the duct tape straps and my my how can he do all that anyways. I have the diaper off and I am holding his legs up in the air and then i realize I have my self a situation, I don't know where the wet wipes are. She has a warmer for wet wipes and I figured they were in there but right when I needed one I lifted the lid and surprise surprise they were no where to be seen. I start to panic and hoped old faithful wasn't going to start to spray and i am looking all over then I realize that I have to take the whole top off the warmer they don't use it as warmer but just a storage container for them. I had the wet wipe and after using about, well I am not sure how many, I was ready to install the diaper. It was going great until I realize I had it on backwards. Hey they should have an arrow or something saying "This way to the front or something." Anyways we finally got that thing on and he ate the rest of his breakfast and then he was ready for a nap so I put him down and then he slept almost till Joia got back about 30 or 40 minutes later.

As Joia said on her blog we had a great time at the beach. I was nice and clean and warm. On our way home I picked up a new pay as you go sim card for my phone so that I can use my phone when I am in the states and not pay out rages rates. I think that sums it up for now.

Happy Times

I am sorry tried to email this yesterday, but the internet wasn't working. So you have to read this as if it was yesterday. Yesterday Joia and I went out and did a little shopping and I bought a pair of sandals and flip flops. I know Mom you are thinking "Oh great more foot wear just what Andrew needs." Ya I will get rid of some. They were on sale and I got a really good deal because it is half way through the season and they want to sell them off I guess. Late in the afternoon yesterday we went and floated down Turkey creek in tubes. It is a pretty fast flowing creek and it was a lot of fun.

This morning we went to Calvary Chapel in Fort Walton Beach. After the service we went to a disc golf course and Philip and I played while Joia sat in the car and kept Keenan company while he slept. It was a pretty nice course and it was just recently made. It makes me want to play more often, maybe I will have to look into it.

This evening we went to a little park near here so that I, I mean Keenan could go play. Here are a few pics from our excursion.

A man with a mission.

A little tired out from trying to climb the slide.

A view across the water from the park.

Looking through the grass.

I am in Florida

I arrived here at my sister and brother in laws place yesterday around noon. I left home Wednesday evening at 8pm and took Robert Q shuttle to the airport in Detroit. I was able to get about two hours of sleep on the ride down and then I got to the airport at 1am and my flight didn't leave till 6am so I stretched out on the floor and try to sleep. With all the airport noises it is a difficult thing but I think I got an hour or two of sleep. The flight from Detroit to Atlanta went well and was on time. Now leaving from Atlanta was another story. We all were on the plane in time of an on time departure but then the pilot come on and said that they were having some technical difficulties and he didn't know how long is was going to take to fix, but he thought it would maybe be twenty minutes. A few minutes later he came on and said it would be about an hour so they said that we could all get off the play. When I passed the cockpit while getting off the technician had what seemed like every panel down from off the ceiling of the cockpit and there were wires everywhere. An hour later when we got on the plane he seemed to have it all back together and I guess it was all working right. This was three for three then, I have only flown out of Atlanta three times and I have been delayed every time.

While flying from Atlanta to Fort Walton Beach I was seated next to a lady and I got talking with here about different things. I had mentioned that I do so missions trip and so she asked "What is a missions trip." I briefly told here about what one would be like and that our main purpose in going is to share the gospel and I explained a little of what that meant. Then I asked here if she had any spiritual beliefs and she said she did and said that she was an atheist. We had a good talk for the whole hour of the flight. It is interesting talking to someone who has this kind of belief. I just pray that something that was said might speak to her in some way.

Here are a few pictures of Keenan in the pool yesterday afternoon. Joia has more pics on her blog if you want to see them the link is on the rights of mine here just down a little ways.

This was the first time they had the cover on the pool and Keenan didn't like it much so it didn't last for long.

Busy Days

Well, if I didn't have so much free time I would post on here so often, JK. I have been really busy this past week. I have been putting in some 16-21 hour days. I have almost got it so that I don't even need sleep. Well almost. I have been working on a friends house after my regular job which makes for long days. I have been doing some brick work for them and rebuilding their chimney. It is all finished now, so maybe I can get some sleep.

A little over a week ago I got an old Snapper Comet lawn mower, from a man I have been doing work for, for several years. I am not sure how old it is but they made the comets from the early sixties to the mid seventies. It sure wasn't made yesterday but it works well and it is a lot faster to cut the grass with this then with the push mower.

I took the last two days off of work so that I could take a First Aid and CPR course. It went from 8-5 yesterday and today. It had been quite sometime since I sat in class for that long, but it was good. I passed and now I am just looking for ways to use the information I have learned. Not that I want people to have an accidents or illnesses that would require this kind of help, but maybe I can be of assistance if someone is in trouble.

Well here is the latest on the Purple Finch chicks. We have been keeping an eye on them, but only two of the eggs have hatched so far. There are two little fuzz balls so far. They are a little funny looking still, but I am sure they will get a few more clothes here soon.

Happy Canada Day

Ya sorry this post is so late. I have been out all day. I went to Sand Hills camp ground and they have a little think you can hardly call a beach with a bunch of young people and we didn't swim much because it felt like the glaciers finished melting only about a week ago. We played soccer and American football. We had a couple guys from Iowa and they humored us by playing soccer so we had to humour them by playing some football. It wasn't to bad.

The beach wasn't that great but we had a lot of fun on the sand hills.

It wasn't too much fun climbing but it was a lot of fun running down or rolling down.

A view from up top.

I would guess it was well over one hundred feet high.
After we were all tired out, we went to Swiss Chalet for supper and then caught some fire works in Burgessville. I am sorry I don't have the right setting on my camera for taking pictures of fireworks so I just had to do my best.
